@ Travel & Memory

Travel always gives me not only a great fun but also a long memory. The happiest thing about a travel is that it gives me lots of special presents, for instance, a happiness of dreaming of searching for the new places, a pleasure of preparing for the itinerary, a deep impression of looking around the attractions with my family.

Even if my teacher gave all the students tasks to schedule an imaginary tour and to write down a letter to ask her rich uncle for a financial support ; we all knew he is not exist, I made up my mind to prepare a real  itinerary in preparation for the summer vacation.

I and my family will come back to Korea this July. On the way to my homeland, we will stop by the western areas of USA and have time for adding last happy memories.

I already had great memory to tour a lot of beautiful places in USA with my family. Being with my wife and daughters is the greatest happiness. Futhermore we engraved in our minds lots of memories. The memories will give us the strength to tighten the strings among my family members.

We will never forget them.

☞ They might have colluded to kill
☞ Victims mainly were children and the old
☞ They might have evaded to kill families
☞ Young bachelors might have participated
the  collusion at the first time.
☞ But, most of them might have become victims

@ CSI Activity

There has been a crime at the Pimmit Hill Center.
A thief broke into the office, and ran away with a computer.

We, CSI team, got to know the all process of the crime, with the help of a CCTV tape which recorded all of the guy's crime, but unluckily not the face. And the suspect was wearing a white cap and black sun glasses, so that we couldn't concern that guy is male or female.

The suspect was also wearing white short pants, blue hood T-shirt and socks and black shoes. On the pants, a small number 1 was engraved and number 3 was on the socks and 7 at the back of the T-shirt.

While stealing the computer, that guy made a mistake of leaving some papers which might have used to wrap and carry some tools to break a window. That paper looked like a part of a magazine, but unfortunately the title was not shown on it. But on one of that paper, there was a picture of the president Obama, and Lady GAGA's picture was also on the other paper with an article.

According to CSI laboratory, there were not any finger prints on those papers but some stains of food, assumed of avocado, cucumber and sesame. The CSI lab  was positive that the guy must have eaten some food, wearing a pair of rubber gloves before doing the crime.

We investigated all convenience stores near the Pimmit Hill Center and luckily, found one where the guy had been taken in a CCTV. The employee of the Seven-Eleven testified that guy often stops by his shop
to buy some sports beverages. As the result of our investigation of questioning, that guy hadn't drop buy another convenience stores near there. So our team scrutinized all the tapes that the store recorded, and found that guy buying something. But the dates as well as the guy's face are not recorded because it was broke.

Anyway, that guy, wearing a yellow T-shirt, blue jeans, cap, and carrying a bag with a logo of Wilson, was buying some bottles of  Seven-Up sprite which that guy usually buy according to the employee.

Our team will catch the guy in near future.
Hay! guy!  Stand there!  We will go to catch you!

@ Health benefits of falling and staying in love (W.P)

This article was extracted from The Washington Post.  Very interesting and inspiring. So, I introduce it.

Love may make the world go 'round, but is it powerful enough to lower one's blood pressure, reduce depression and speed the healing of an injury? With Valentine's Day just around the corner, we set out to find the answer and discovered that science says yes.

"Our relationships help us cope with stress, so if we have someone we can turn to for emotional support or advice, that can buffer the negative effects of stress," says Julianne Holt-Lunstad, an associate professor of psychology at Brigham Young University, who has been publishing studies for the past 10 years on social relationships and their influence on health and disease.
Most studies on the health benefits of love have focused on married couples. In 2007, after reviewing research on the health effects of matrimony, the Department of Health and Human Services issued a 68-page report that found that, in general, married people are happier, live longer, drink less and even have fewer doctor's appointments than unmarried folks.
Of course, "we all know that not all marriages are happy," Holt-Lunstad says. Very few of the thousands of marriage studies take the quality of the union into account; "I can think of maybe seven."
So, Holt-Lunstad set out to see what kind of links there might be between love and health, and in 2008, she identified one, in a study published that year about marriage and blood pressure. She found that happily married people have lower blood pressure than unmarried people. But unhappily married people have higher blood pressure than both groups. So, when it comes to blood pressure, at least, you're probably better off alone than in a troubled marriage.

Loving spouses tend to encourage preventive care, reinforce healthy behaviors such as exercise and flossing, and dissuade unhealthy ones, such as heavy drinking, according to many studies. Romantic relationships also can provide a sense of meaning and purpose in life that can translate to better self-care and less risk taking, Holt-Lunstad says. (There are also practical benefits to marriage that can improve one's health but have nothing to do with love. For instance, married people are more likely to have health insurance and be financially stable, according to the HHS study.)

Arthur Aron, a social psychologist at Stony Brook University in New York, has dedicated his professional life to understanding the science of love. Specifically, Aron does brain scans with fMRI machines of people at various stages of the romantic journey: newly in love, in long-term relationships and recently rejected.

Like winning the lottery
Though most of his studies are small, involving only 15 to 20 people, Aron has consistently found that feelings of love trigger the brain's dopamine-reward system. Dopamine is a powerful neurotransmitter that affects pleasure and motivation. It is activated in many people, for instance, by winning a lot of money or taking cocaine.
In a study released in the January 2011 issue of Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience, Aron compared the brain scans of 17 people who had been married for an average of 21 years with data from his 2005 study of 17 people (10 women and 7 men, median age of 21) who were newly in love. Both groups had neural activation in the dopamine system but, interestingly, the brains of the newer lovebirds also lit up in areas associated with anxiety, obsession and tension.
"When you've just fallen in love and the person goes out of your sight for five minutes, you think, 'Are they dead? Did they find someone else?' " Aron says.
Hugging and hand-holding, meanwhile, have been found to release the hormone oxytocin, which lowers the levels of stress hormones in the body, reducing blood pressure, improving mood and increasing tolerance for pain, according to research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
If being in love makes you happy, it may also have another welcome health benefit: fewer colds. Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh assessed 334 healthy volunteers, ages 18 to 54, for their emotional styles. Those who tended to experience positive emotions such as happy, pleased and relaxed were more resistant to the common cold than those who felt anxious, hostile or depressed. Since the study covered anyone with positive emotions, the results could apply to those in happy relationships - or anyone with a sunny outlook.

A healing effect
A happy marriage may also speed the rate that wounds heal, according to a 2005 study at Ohio State University. It found that a married couple's 30-minute positive, supportive discussion sped up their bodies' ability to recover from an injury by at least one day. Researchers Jan Kiecolt-Glaser and Ronald Glaser fit 42 married couples with small suction devices that created eight tiny blisters on their arms. On one visit after being subjecting to the blistering device, the researchers prompted the couple to talk about "an area of disagreement, something that inherently had an emotional element," Kiecolt-Glaser says. On another visit, the couple had a loving discussion after the blistering. Those blisters healed a day sooner.

Just friends

For those who aren't in love right now, all is not lost. Holt-Lunstad and colleagues found that strong connections to friends, family, neighbors or colleagues improve odds of survival by 50 percent. She examined data from 148 studies that followed 308,849 people an average of 71/2 years. Social connectedness proved as beneficial to survival as quitting smoking and exceeded the benefits of exercise.
Meanwhile, it's worth noting that love gone wrong can have health consequences as well.
"Lots of the data on suicide and depression show that one of the major causes, especially among younger people, is rejection in love or unrequited love," Aron says.
Divorce can damage one's physical health so dramatically that the person never recovers. A 2009 study in the Journal of Health and Social Behavior found that divorced or widowed people have 20 percent more chronic health conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer, than married people. They also have 23 percent more mobility limitations, such as trouble walking up stairs. Remarriage offset this trend a bit,
but not completely.

@ Don't eat the marshmallow....until ~!

Living on your budget is simple but not easy.
Earn more money!
If you are not able to do that, spend less.
But, how?
Let me introduce you two ways to spend less.

First, you might have an experience that you repented after shopping.
While buying that item, you rationalize your conduct as like "That's what I want for a long time" or
"If I don't buy this right now, someone will buy it so that I can't get it later."
But, you certainly might regret after coming back home or taking a bill later.
"Why didn't I overcome the temptation?" or "How can I pay for this right now?"
But that experience can be a good medicine for you to block another impulse buying.
Try to recall that memory before you may feel an impulse-buying temptation.
"I am not going to repeat such a same mistake again!"
"That's not what I need right now!"
That will help you control your passion to buy something unnecessary right now.

Secondly, set a big, long-term goal.
For instance, "I will buy a bigger house in 7 years. or "I will buy a brand new car in 3 years"
When you can't overcome the temptation to buy something, try to imagine a picture
in which your family along with you are smiling in front of your new and big house.

'Don't eat  the marshmallow now!'     '
Don't eat the marshmallow... yet!"
And, you might be able to get a box of marshmallow.
Or, maybe you  can get a big marshmallow factory.

@ At last, I learnd!

At last, I made it!
As a novice, I struggled to learn to edit pictures and attach a music for more than 5 hours.
(It is attached below) It was hard to learn but very fun!!

Anyway, in that film, I tried to express the value of freedom.
Egypt crisis reminded me of  Korean transition to Democracy. We, Korean, had already experienced the struggling path to Democracy in 1987.

Mubarak certainly is going to be stepped down and forced to leaved from Egypt. It looks like that the game is over. The middle class, who has taken a role of a trigger to transition to Democracy in the past history, already took part in the lines of protesters.

We know well the victory is always for the people
who try to save themselves. It can never be for any dictator. Freedom and eternal peace is also given to the people who try to pursuit them by themselves.
That's why we always do our best to protect and keep them...

@ Song for 'Power Transition'

<Imagine>-
<song>
Imagine there's no freedom

It's hard to live there
all men below one
Above us only king

Imagine all the people
Living for one man ~~~~~

<rap>Mubarak, Kim jung il, Mugabe…
You’re all dictators.
Step down… step down.
Why stick to power.
Why suppress people.
Return,, return,, the power to people
Give back,,give back freedom to people

<song>
Imagine there's no freedom

It isn't hard to get
Nothing to kill or die for
And no power too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
